Service Description
This comprehensive 6 hour class is designed to develop individuals to become safe & well-rounded shooters based in situational drills and real-world scenarios. This course is an Intermediate Handgun for Self Defense that has you moving, shooting at the same time while solving problems like malfunctions and movement under time constraints. Learn to think quickly and critically while moving and acquiring moving targets. Learn the skills of non-standard position shooting, essential movement skills. Emphasis is toward drills and scenarios that simulate having encounters with imminent problems as part of a deadly force encounter and how to manage yourself and the firearm. This class is fast-paced and level 3 course is REQUIRED PRIOR to registration. We will also work from concealment or open carry positions. EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Students should have at least taken the Level 1 Basic Handgun Class, Permit Class, and Level 3 Confidence in Carrying Firearms courses within the past 12 months and must be proficient and safe with the use of a holster. EQUIPMENT: • Fully Safe and Working handgun (preferably a centerfire gun) • 300 rounds of factory FMJ ball ammunition • Minimum of 2 magazines • Eye & ear protection • OWB Holster (Outside the Waistband). For safety reasons bra holsters, soft side collapsible holsters, cross draw, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed during live-fire portion of course.) • Two (2) Magazine pouches • Belt Designed for guns • Optional- Bring your own lunch, snacks and beverages. ATTIRE: This is an outdoor range and appropriate attire consists of: long pants, closed-toe shoes, high collared shirt. We recommend baseball caps but not required. NO VIDEO POLICY! To protect the safety, privacy, and learning experience of your fellow students we have adopted a strict NO VIDEO policy during class.
